When parents separate one parent may want to relocate with the child or children of the family, either within the UK or to another country. If parents cannot agree on where their children should live they may need specialist advice and help.
If you want to move outside of the UK with your child you must have permission from everyone with Parental Responsibility for that child. If one of the parties with Parental Responsibility does not consent, the permission of the court needs to be sought. It has become increasingly difficult to get permission to relocate and it is vital legal advice is sought at an early stage.
